Large Family Budget Friendly Grocery Haul
Hey Guys and welcome back to my blog! I know many people out there are like myself and looking to save a little money on their grocery bills every month. Let's face it, when it comes to families (especially large ones) those grocery bills can very easily get away from you. So I decided to put myself to the challenge and come up with a meal plan for the next 2 weeks using no more than $200 for everything. This includes all household goods, food, and any baby needs I may have had. Now I've become pretty good at the old coupon game but I wanted to do this, sans coupons, to show people that it really is possible to have home cooked meals for your family and not spend a fortune doing it.
Now a lot of people may not like some of the thing on the meal plan for this two weeks, and that's perfectly ok. As parents we all feed our children what we feel is best for them, the whole point was to help people who may be struggling to come up with meal ideas that don't take a ton of expensive ingredients or time to make.
I will add a disclaimer to this, I like to shop my pantry and my freezer when I make a meal plan. I am relying on a flat of chicken breast and a ham a long with cereal and spices and things like that I already had on hand to help supplement what I bought today. That being said, I think for the amount that I spent, most of the things I got will actually last the full 2 weeks and I may not even have to use any of the things I had on hand already.
Anyways, without further delay, lets get down to this price break down! And make sure to check out the video so you can see of the great things I got as well.
I ended up going to both Publix and Walmart this time around which allowed me to save on sales and just generally good prices. If you don't have either of these stores in your area, shop which ever stores you have that have the best prices, offer coupons, or customer cards to allow you to save money.
